Women’s empowerment means giving women the ability to fully and genuinely participate in society – economically, socially, and politically. But, what does this mean in today’s world and why is it still a cause for concern?
Why is it so difficult to change a status quo that was created centuries ago, when we have modernised so much in other fields? How can the changing status of women benefit society? How are we experiencing backlash from the lack of progress in this field?
This module will give learners an overview of how crucial women’s empowerment is to international progress and the opportunities that open up by investigating this further.
