Module overview

Where science lets us investigate the natural world, technology allows us to use that knowledge and apply it to reach certain goals. Together, they have completely changed our world and the way in which humans live, however, have all these changes been for the better? We live in a world where, on a timeline, the last 25 years of advancements will seem like the stone age compared to the next 25 years.

So, how are science and technology related? What are the risks and benefits of technological advancement? How can breakthroughs be accelerated to improve the human condition? This module will give learners an overview of both the advantages and risks of certain technological innovations and how to curb their uncertainties.
