Module overview

We live in a world where technology is growing at an exponential rate. We have seen more change in the last 50 years than in the previous 1000 years. In the near future, computing power will be trillions of times more powerful than all the human brains that have ever existed working simultaneously. Our brains and minds have evolved to think in linear and local rates, whereas technology is evolving at a global and exponential rate. There is a real danger in continuing to think linearly in a world that is accelerating exponentially.

This module offers an overview of the contrast between linear and exponential growth and focuses on the driving forces behind this accelerating change.
