Blockchain
Cryptocurrency
Blockchain is a unique record storage technology which allows contributors to directly enter information into the chain before it is locked in by other computers who are also contributing to the chain. Originally used to record online transactions between digital currencies such as Bitcoin, governments and organisations are now rolling out blockchain technology to collect unhackable data for elections, legal contracts, education results and much more.
This module serves as an introduction to blockchain and outlines some of its implications for education and its applications in learning.
