Corporal punishment leaves the child fearful and prevents higher order thinking and deeper learning from happening in the brain. How can we convince all teachers everywhere not to use corporal punishment to encourage learning?

  1. In my country (France), I believe that corporal punishment is strictly forbidden. I think that any kind of punishment should be actually forbidden including moral punishment, and any kind of pressure that can be put on children at school. Teachers should inspire children to give them the willing to learn.

  2. The teachers should be told about teaching the children in a type of climate in which they feel calm and safe, also if they give corporal punishment to children ,strict action will be taken against the teachers.

  3. See simulations /visualise it on themselves and experience the effects they would have .
Reflect its ethical to do so as teacher.

  4. We can do so by showing more modern or more alternative styles to teach students as each and every student is special in their own ways.
